Many of our osteopaths and massage therapists can incorporate dry needling into your treatment when appropriate or upon request. This technique resembles acupuncture, as it involves inserting a small needle into the muscle to create a change in the tissue. However, it does not follow the traditional Chinese medicine approach.
In dry needling, needles are placed in areas with tender points or trigger points rather than along meridian or energy lines. This targeted application aims to elicit a localized tissue response to promote healing.
