Dr Sandra Nguyen

Director: Clinical Psychologist
Clinical Psychologist Supervisor

 

Sandra is a registered Clinical Psychologist and Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience treating individuals in a wide range of mental health settings.

 

She has completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has over 20 years experience and professional training in helping people to overcome a wide range of problems.

 

She is committed to the care of her clients who range from children, adolescents, adults, the elderly and couples. She strongly believes in the importance of a well-matched client-therapist relationship.

Dr Jessica Bernardi

Principal: Clinical Psychologist
Clinical Psychology Supervisor

Jess is a registered Clinical  Psychologist (AHPRA) with experience treating individuals in a wide range of mental health settings.  She has completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Society and the Australian Psychological Society. 

Jess tailors her clinical skills to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring that her clients benefit as much as possible from the therapeutic experience and achieve richer, fuller and more meaningful lives. Jess’ approach is grounded within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework, however, she likes to incorporate a number of other evidence based approaches bases on the needs of her clients.

Ms Monika Naslund

Community & Counselling Psychologist

Monika Naslund is a registered Psychologist (AHPRA) with endorsement in both Community and Counselling psychology and is a member of the Community and Counselling Colleges of the Australian Psychological Society.

 

For over 20 years, Monika has provided specialist services across a wide spectrum of trauma related areas in international, national, regional and local settings and her special interests and experience include psychotraumatology, cross-cultural counselling and resilience.

Ms Kim Fernandes

Ms Carolina Aguirre

Psychologist

Carolina Aguirre is a registered Psychologist (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

 

Carolina is guided by a strengths based, holistic framework, supporting clients to explore their issues and situation within the social, community and individual factors that are part of life.

 

Carolina uses a number of evidence based therapeutic approaches to support individual client needs including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness amongst others. Carolina has experience supporting clients with problematic alcohol and other substance use, anxiety, depression and a range of issues.

Ms Natalia Agus

Counsellor/Social Worker

Natalia is a qualified Social Worker and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).  She has completed undergraduate degree majoring in Psychology and obtained a Master of Social Work both from the University of Melbourne. Natalia has previous experience in the mental health, hospital, and palliative care settings. 

 

Natalia draws upon the strengths-based, person-centered practice when working with clients. Her approach is guided by evidence-based therapeutic treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model, and other holistic frameworks in delivering care for clients. 

She provides treatment to children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. She is guided by evidenced-based practice and matching the therapy to the client needs.  

Mr Matthew Dellosa

Counsellor/Social Worker

Matt is a qualified Social Worker and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. He has successfully completed a Masters of Social Work with the University of Melbourne.

 

Matt is a warm and empathetic clinician who provides clients with a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic space. Having worked in youth justice, mental health, community and inpatient settings, Matt has experience working with a diverse range of clients with: depression, anxiety, trauma, family violence and substance use disorders.

 

Utilising a strength based, person centred and holistic approach, Matt draws upon a range of evidence-based theories including, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy. 

 

Matt acknowledges the impact of mental health disorders and tailors his approach to a client’s individual needs.

Ms Ivy Liu

Mental Health Social Worker/Counsellor

Ivy is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She attained a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Melbourne.

 

Ivy utilises a range of evidence-based, focused psychological strategies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and CBT-based Child Therapy. Ivy’s previous experience lies in public mental health, alcohol and other drugs and dual diagnosis sectors. Ivy works with adults experiencing severe and chronic mental health conditions as well as children and adolescents with disabilities, developmental/adjustment challenges, and behavioural issues. Ivy has a strong focus on family-inclusive practice and provides family sessions. 

 

As a social worker, Ivy has extensive experience in providing solution-focused therapy to clients presenting with psychosocial stressors in addition to their mental health conditions, including financial difficulties, legal issues, family violence, relationship issues, and immigration matters.

 

Ivy provides counselling in English and Mandarin Chinese. Medicare Rebates are available to clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

Counsellor/Social Worker

Kim is an accredited Social Worker and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Her formal qualifications include a Master of Social Work from RMIT University, a postgraduate certificate in Mental Health from La Trobe University, and a Master of Communication attained overseas.


The crux of Kim's clinical approach lies in meaningful rapport-building and non-judgmental assessment of one's needs, and identifying how one's values, core beliefs, culture, and childhood experiences affect their day-to-day decisions. She believes that the most significant changes occur when individuals are given the space and support they need to develop their strengths, challenge their inner critic, and realise their capacity to live fulfilling lives. Kim understands trauma and its psycho-social impact on individuals, families, and communities, and is energised by supporting clients in developing their resilience and identity. 

 

Kim is also fluent in Hindi, and offers both, online and face-to-face sessions.

Ms Michelle Chee

Counsellor/Social Worker

Michelle is an accredited Social Worker and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). 

Michelle has a passion for working with children and young people with a strong focus on practicing from a holistic strength based and person centered approach.

She has worked with people of all ages and from various backgrounds  with many different psychological and daily living challenges, which also includes learning difficulties, behavioural issues, grief, depression, trauma and generational trauma, homelessness, domestic violence, disengagement from school and work, anxiety and the implications that it has on the individual as well as the family as a whole.

Michelle is able to provide individualised and practical treatment to children, adolescents, adults and the elderly which is guided by evidenced-based practice. Michelle also offers both face-to-face and online sessions.
